Bangalore : Seemee Khan, a British poet visited Brainy Stars Islamic Montessori, Jayanagar to give a presentation at the teachers training academy here on 13th May 2014.
On the occasion she presented a few of her poems and said that “All praises to God, Creator and Guide, Who by His grace, chose to gift me this talent of listening to the echoes of my soul and communicating this passion to you, in the form of poetry. May God accept this Endeavor to make it sincere, for His Sake to earn His Pleasure, Ameen.”
Her parents are from Bangalore and she got married to a Bangalorean. Seemee also encouraged the audience to write, inculcate them to learn skills of writing. She said that everybody has some hidden talent in them but the need is to explore it correctly. Seemee praised the vision of the Islamic Montessori and its concept of teaching. She won a prize at the age of twelve for her first poem ‘The Mermaid on The Rocks’ in poetry competition. Her collections are available at www.seemeehearme.co.uk.
