“Teachers need to work on children’s body, mind, heart and soul to develop total personality” says Kamaruddin

Bangalore : “To be an excellent, quality teacher one ought to love children and have great patience to deal with them, as they misbehave and are more disobedient in their early childhood. But the mischievous child need not be furnished more, as they are born with special talents and the level of intelligence is quite higher than a normal child,” says Mr. Abdul Rahman Kamaruddin, in a lecture on ‘teachers development’ conducted by Brainy Stars here on its premises on May 14.

Mr. Kamaruddin is an International Expert of Information Systems and Services; he is also one of the board members of the Brainy Stars International Islamic Montessori and School. He has been the Senior Technical Advisor in UNESCO, UNIDO, IDB and has served in several countries.

Mr. Kamaruddin criticized Indian education system as outdated and said that we need change in education system in both the government as well as private sector. “Our teachers accelerate and focus on winding-up syllabus. Teachers are least bothered about concentration of the student and there indulgence in studies.” He expressed that, “lecture is the worst thing to do, it kills the mind of children.”

He says “the purpose of education is to develop total personality of a child. Teachers need to work on children’s body, mind, heart and soul, if those components are synchronized together, then the child will progress.” He also says that memorization of Quran and other scriptures would help to increase memory power of the children.

“The major downfall of students and increase in dropouts is because of communication barrier between parents and teachers. Teachers should construct a proper bridge between parents, thus to ascertain and keep the child going astray.” says Mr. Kamaruddin and added that, prevent children prior to falling astray rather than trying to reform them, following the aftermath.

Mr. Kamaruddin also urged that the children should be kept aside and be protected from pancha bootha (five elements) that would harm children’s ideology and deposit dreadful influence on them: Television, Mobile, Internet, Cinema and adverse partners.

Admiring the love and respect to the nation, he says ” India was a Country of Dharma i.e. nobility. Dharma protects those who protect dharma. Our right is to prevent the country from evil and the force that influence our young minds into wrong doing”, he said and concluded.
