Every year on the 1st of May, the International Worker’s Day, also known as May Day, is celebrated. It is observed at an international level to promote and encourage the international labour associations.
It is a protest against unfair pay and pay-cuts, long hours of work and the overall safety of the workers. Earlier, the working condition was very severe and working hours was 16 hours a day, even in unsafe conditions. The rising death of the working class people (men, women and children) in many working industries led to the call of safety and security of the working group people.
