Mr Vaikunta K Kamath Founder of Jewlel rock hotels in Hassan and shimogga passsed away in Manipal hospital after breif illness today morning, he was 79 years old
he is survived by his son Mr Sridhar kamath who is the Director with Bangalore based Century real estate
Mr Kamath changed the face of the hotel industry where he has established several hotels in Shimogga, Hassan, Udupi, Kundapur, Hyderabad and Goa
He was the founder President of Margoa Hoteliers association apart from being associated with several social service organisations like Lion club of which he served as its president
He was the founder of Gomanth Bharathi cultural association, apart from this he also held the post of Director with Margoa urban co -operative bank
